Lil' bit of Luck!

Categories // Things I like!

This would be Caden's first lady bug landing! Everyone knows what that means! She was there to bring him some good luck! :) It really is super cute to see a lil ladybug in a small hand that is wide open. It really brings a smile to your face. What I also like is how daddy is there to show Caden how to keep his hand open. Its fun discovering new things with your kids! I'm super glad i got to capture this moment.

Because of this moment, it reminded me that I always have my ladybug of good luck always following me around. I got this small ladybug tattoo on my ankel..geesh..like 8 years ago or so. LOL..wow. It was a super random idea. Some friends and myself were at a tattoo studio in DeLand. My girlfriend, Alicia, was getting some work done and she offered to get me something small also. I had no idea what to get since it was so spur of the moment. And of course, I saw a picture of a ladybug.

That was it! I thought to myself, "Well it never hurts to have a little bit of luck following me around." And instead of black spots, of course I went with star-spots. :)

Now, since you are reading this, I would LOVE it If you have any good luck ladybugs or something related to your good luck "following" you around. It can be anything! It would be fun to see what everyone has and how different we all are! I would love to have you share it with us, so please do!! :)

Christmas and Caden's 2nd Birthday!

Written by // Caressa Koory Johnson Categories // Things I like!

This weekend was not only Christmas but it was also Caden's 2nd birthday! Time flys! But this was a super awesome birthday, even tho it is only his 2nd! We had a pirate party for him! He loves pirates, especially Jake and the Neverland Pirates, and any time he sees one or a skull and cross bones, he will say "Yo Ho Ho!" and throw his arms in to the air.. So cool..lol!

These are awesome pirate and sea monster cupcakes that we made!! (and stayed up until 3 in the morning making!)

Oh and may I mention that Jake, from Disney, sent Caden a personalized note and photos to him for his birthday!! I know he didnt understand it, but for myself, this was really cool that Jake emailed him!!

Not only did he have his super fun Pirate birthday birthday party the weekend before, but then it was Christmas weekend and his actual birthday. Christmas Eve was fun! We went to a friends house to celebrate Christmas, then when we came home Santa had already visited and left Caden a Christmas tree and presents for him!

Santa knew that we didn't want to put the tree up sooner because Rich and I thought that Caden would play with the tree too much.

In actuality, Caden on Christmas day was very happy and surprised that there was a tree with lights and presents under the tree! I think next year we will do the same! As for having Caden on Christmas, I feel blessed to have had him on Christmas day!

The best Christmas ever, with the best present ever!! "Cheers and Happy Birthday!" to all the Christmas babies out there!
I really had a great weekend with my family and Caden turning 2! So much to look forward to! Im super blessed with what I have in my life! :) Merry Christmas again and Happy New Year!

Dueling Dragons

Categories // Things I like!

When I say "Dueling Dragons", what do you think of first? If you are from Orlando, 99% to 1% of you will probably think of Universal's Islands of Adventure and the "use-to-be" roller coaster, "Dueling Dragons" before it became apart of the Harry Potter World. (Which if you haven't been there yet... You Must GO!) But, am I correct?

Well actually, Lol..if you think out side the box of the good ol' attractions in Orlando and think more about the habitat we have here in Florida, you will think of hundreds of things that duel here such as snakes, ants, bugs, alligators, bob cats...critters of all kinds come to mind! In this case, how about lizards?!

Today, Caden and I went out for a little walk, as we were making our way through our front yard by the trees, I saw two huge, thick, one brown and one black with light brown spots on a tree in our front yard. These were not your standard lizards and they were chasing each other. But as Caden and I sat and watched..they weren't just chasing, they were totally dueling each other! It was crazy! They were running in crazy circles and hissing. It was pretty cool. Caden laughed and of course I had to take a picture of them. Here they are taking a break...I wonder what kind they are?  I bet they were fighting over some lovely lady lizard (Awww, how sweet right? Lol) or food. (I know I get feisty if I am hungry lol)  Well, I just thought I would share this with your all!

Have a good day, and stay away from "dueling lizards"! They might catch your finger!
