Trash the Dress Fountain shoot in Winter Springs Florida - just outside Orlando

So you want to do a Trash The Dress Photography Session in Orlando? Some people cringe at the though of trashing that amazing wedding dress. And others embrace it. One thing is for sure if you are going to do it you have to do it right. You have to make sure the wedding photographer is up to the challenge. For me this is more important that shooting the wedding itself. As a wedding photographer in Orlando I have one chance to capture that one second just before you dive into that fountain. Here are a few tips that will make sure your trash the dress photography session goes picture perfect.

1: Find a wedding photographer who is familiar with what a Trash the Dress Session is. You really need an Orlando wedding photographer who thinks quick on their feet.

2: Meet with your Orlando Wedding Photographer and get to know them. This is the key to being the most "Photogenic" in your wedding photos. To me being photogenic means that you are completely comfortable infront of a camera. If you are not comfortable then it will show. What I tell my subjects to do is ignore me! Just act like I am some one walking by and occasional give me a glance - not the Wedding Photographer.

3: Does your Wedding Photographer know his locations? This is also something to consider. Where do we shoot this session. Spectacle Photo does most of our Trash the Dress Sessions in Downtown Orlando, but we also know a few sweet spots around our studio in Maitland, Florida that make prime backdrops for a dramatic shoot.

4: Its just a dress!!!!! I know it's not just a dress but Trash the Dress Photography doesn't mean "destroy" the dress. This creative wedding photography session is designed to capture a shot you would never take on your wedding day! That can be as simple as sitting in the grass. So if a photographer suggests the trash-the-dress session there is no need to freak out. Just suggest how comfortable you are with the idea and how far you are willing to go not in trashing the wedding dress, but letting it have a little fun!
