This photograph, captured at a local Orlando area skate park not far from our Maitaland photo studio, shows a high-energy group of kids playing hard - trying to take advantage of their last few moments of daylight. The dusky sky is a great contrast to the kinetic energy and bright-colored clothing that the kids are sporting. Spectacle Photo specializes in more than just kids' portraits, we are available to go on location and capture your kids in their element, whatever it may be.

Spectacle Photo is located in the heart of Maitland, right next door to the Maitland Art Center. Such a charming location, we often shoot portraits and wedding photography there. This little scene is a great rustic piece of the Maitland landscape.

Trash the Dress Fountain shoot in Winter Springs Florida
So you want to do a Trash The Dress Session? Some people cringe at the though of trashing that amazing wedding dress. And other embrace it. One thing is for sure if you are going to do it you have to do it right. You have to make sure the photographer is up to the challenge. For me this is more important that shooting the wedding itself. As a photographer I have one chance to capture that one second just before you dive into that fountain. Here are a few tips that will make sure your session goes picture perfect.
1: Find a photographer who is familiar with what a Trash the Dress Session is. You really need a photographer who thinks quick on their feet.
2: Meet with your photographer and get to know them. This is the key to being the most "Photogenic" in your photos. To me being photogenic mean that you are completely comfortable informal of a camera. If you are not comfortable then it will show. What I tell my subjects to do is ignore me! Just act like I am some one walking by and occasional give me a glance.
3: Does your Photographer know his locations? This is also something to consider. Where do we shoot this session. Spectacle photo does most of our Trash the Dress Sessions in down town Orlando, but we also know a few sweet spots around our studio in Maitland that make prime backdrops for a dramatic shoot.
4: Its just a dress!!!!! I know its not just a dress but Trash the Dress doesn't mean "destroy" the dress. This session is to capture shot you would never take on your wedding day! That can be as simple as sitting in the grass. So if a photographer suggest the session there is no need to freak out. Just suggest how comfortable you are with the idea and how far you are willing to go in the trashing of the wedding dress.

Big Day in NJ
What a great day to catch some surf shots! It was a cold winter day in New Jersey when I snapped this shot. I had the day off and decided to go to my old stomping grounds Seaside Heights. Now I know you saying “ but isn’t your Photography studio in Orlando Florida”? Of course it is! But I do travel from time to time of many photography trips. Again always keeping my camera handy!!
